Trashion show exhibition at British council

The Village weavers’ team was invited and given a free stand at the Trashion show and exhibition on the 23rd of June 2018 at the British council Abuja.
The “Trashion ala mode” was inspired by the World Environment Day to raise awareness about the use of litter and how it can even be transformed into fashionable trends.
It sensitized the power of individual and collective waste as well as educated the rural and urban communities on how to stop the use of plastics bags and maybe turn to a suitable alternative.

The organisers achieved their aim to support and sponsor the less privileged, get recycling cages for motor parks and schools as well as provide special needs teachers to 17 children from J.A.H school in the small community of Peyi Abuja.

The Village weavers were not left out as we received 3 new looms for the Village Weavers Network.

We also made a lot of Sales on the day . Our women were extremely happy.

THANKS TRASHION !!
