RECYCLE!
The Midel Group is proud to initiate the GreenDel program.
Flag shipping at The Midel Center, our residents, visitors as well as our clients are invited to participate in this exciting campaign.
The GreenDel program encourages all concerned to change their perspective on the way they treat their environment, its products and its wastes. All participants are expected to follow very simple rules which have huge benefits for our environment, community and also for their pockets!
You can save costs by:
Making sure all switches and sockets are turned off when not in use. You will be surprised how this action if done regularly can save you a whole lot on energy bills and have you smiling to the bank.
Avoid printing unnecessarily. Instead, share documents on platforms such as Google docs and save money on printer inks and cartridges. If you really need to print, why not set your printer to print documents on both sides of your paper. You’ll be amazed at how much money you’ll save on paper purchases.
How about hitching a ride to work with a neighbour that works in the same area as you do and vice versa? This could save you a pretty penny on fuel purchases and also reduces wear and tear on your car which in turn reduces costs on servicing.
At the Centre, we have a recycling program and encourage all residents to take part.
Opposite the exit stairwells on each floor, there are four bins labelled with different waste types. They are to collect the different types of waste that the Center produces. This includes paper, plastics, ink cartridges and other wastes. These segregated wastes are transported to a recycling depot and sold to organisations that need them. It is our way of preserving our planet.
This program is not mandatory but we will be honoured if you join in!
Working and networking with other environmentally friendly organisations:
To show solidarity and awareness of environmental friendliness, participants through the Greendel program are encouraged and asked to promote networking with other organisations that do likewise. This accelerates the progress and development of the existing but elementary version of “going Green“ in Nigeria!
So come on board. We all have a GREEN side !!!
