We’re so proud to receive our first Waste Resource Diversion Report from our partners at Ecobarter . We partnered with Ecobarter in July 2020 with the goal of reducing and recycling our waste responsibly, and in turn, reducing our carbon footprint .With the co-operation of all our residents at the Midel Center, we’ve been able to collect 48kg of recyclables, which includes more than 500 single-use plastic bottles, plastic bags as well as office papers .
Collectively, we’ve all been able to divert this from landfills and put back into the economy. This project has created employment for people, produced reusable plastic jute bag for sale and of course help our community by reducing road side rubbish .
Here’s to an even better outcome in 2021.
