Midel greendel team visited the recycling plant in Apo. We met with Mr Stephen Ogu, owner of Omaha Industry Limited; a recycling industry in Lagos where the recycling materials are often taken to turn into finish product.
Mr Stephen explained to the team that some plastics are injection point; Any plastics with a small circle at the bottom. While other plastics are blowing point; Any plastic with a straight line across the bottom. And all plastics have to be grouped, washed, and dried before taking to the factory for melting. Plastic is also a By-product of petroleum
Our trip was extremely educational because we lent a lot about recycling, especially recycling plastics.
