The year 2020 has been a challenging one globally with the world battling the COVID -19 pandemic .
Businesses have been greatly affected especially the Village weavers. Our usual exhibitions didn’t hold, and sales were poor at our different outlets.
Our relentless team was however able to get some money from the sales made recently and the women were visited and remitted on the 15th of December, 2020 so that Christmas wouldn’t be a gloomy one.
They were happy to receive funds though little. They were also given fabric pieces donated by the women tailors in the city for the weaving of new rugs.
Despite the situation, the women were of good cheer and are looking forward to a promising 2021.
